Job summary

Axis Energy Services, LLC. is seeking a Derrick Hand to join a 4-5 person workover rig crew in the Gillette, WY area, with preference for local candidates within 60 miles.

The role involves elevated work on the derrick, tubing board and rod basket, equipment maintenance, and supporting other rig functions under the supervision of the Tool Pusher or Rig Operator. Expect field rotation, safety-first procedures, and possible travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and travel as needed by business.
• Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol testing and DOT evaluations where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rigging up and down on workover rigs and align with the well.
• Handle elevated work on the derrick, tubing board and rod basket.
• Maintain derrick structures and components and perform routine maintenance.
• Ensure safety compliance with Axis policies and customer safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Tool Pusher or Rig Operator.
