Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a DERMS Engineer/Analyst to support the integration of Grid and Edge DERMS, develop dashboards, and validate model inputs for accurate operational outputs. You will test forecasts, optimization, and aggregated monitoring while coordinating with GIS, SCADA, and vendor teams.

The role emphasizes data reconciliation, model maintenance, and governance across multiple enterprise systems, including CIM/XML/JSON exchanges and telemetry mapping.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electric distribution systems and operational model dependencies.
• Experience with GIS, SCADA, ADMS, DERMS, and model management systems.
• Able to query databases, validate data quality, and reconcile source records.

Responsibilities

• Support integration between DERMS and IT/OT platforms.
• Test DERMS results for Forecasting, Optimization, and monitoring.
• Create test cases, UAT scripts, regression checks, and defect logs.
• Coordinate model improvements with GIS, SCADA, ADMS, and vendor teams.
• Handle data exchanges (CIM/XML/JSON) and feed model inputs to the network model.
• Maintain model readiness by identifying topology errors and telemetry mismatches.
• Develop repeatable workflows for data quality checks, version control, and handoffs.
• Support model governance, documentation, and long-term network modeling.
