VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with clinical and clerical tasks across patient visits. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with patient flow, document vitals and manage scheduling in the Practice Management System and EHR.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, effective communication, and adherence to safety standards. A High School Diploma and completion of an accredited MA or phlebotomy program are required, with BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program is required.
• 0-1 year related work experience is required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required or within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.

Responsabilités

• Prepares the examination room and escorts patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and ensures proper preparation for visits.
• Documents vital signs and allergies in the EHR; updates medication lists.
• Schedules appointments and manages the PMS/EHR entries accurately.
• Orders and schedules referrals in the PMS and EHR as needed.
• Assists in care transitions and supports universal safety precautions.
• Provides scribing services and supports team with various duties as assigned.
