VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs and NPs by managing patient flow, prepping exam rooms, and documenting vitals in the EHR. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, completion of an accredited MA or phlebotomy program, BLS certification, and 0–1 year of related experience, with 2–4 years preferred.

Qualifications

• Formal education required: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program is required.
• 1 year or less of related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and assist in patient flow.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and accurate charting.
• Gather vital signs and document in EHR with accuracy.
• Assist in scheduling and communicate with patients with cultural sensitivity.
• Provide scribing services and support care transitions as needed.
