Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with clinical and clerical duties. You will prepare exam rooms, manage patient flow, document vitals, allergies, and medications in the EHR, and assist with scheduling and referrals.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of an MA or phlebotomy program, BLS within 30 days, and 0–1 year of experience (2–4 preferred). English communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire required.
• Ability to communicate in English (oral and written) required.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; comfortable with multiple tasks.
• Basic proficiency in computer use required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination room and assist in patient flow.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and accurate documentation.
• Enter orders and schedule appointments in PMS/EHR; document allergies and vital signs.
• Provide referrals and care coordination as needed.
• Ensure safety and proper handling of medications and waste.
