Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, or NPs with clinical and clerical duties. You will manage patient flow, prepare rooms, document vital information in the EHR, and assist with referrals and orders, ensuring safe and efficient care.

Strong English communication, a completed Medical Assistant program, and a willingness to work across satellite locations are essential. BLS is preferred and Polish speakers are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Polish language ability preferred.
• Ability to multitask and organize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency required.
• Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination rooms and assists in patient flow.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and prepares patients for visits.
• Documents patient information accurately in the EHR.
• Maintains and updates medication lists and allergies in the EHR.
• Performs referrals and orders in PMS/EHR as needed.
• Adheres to universal safety precautions and safety guidelines.
• Provides scribing services as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
