Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners in Rancho Mirage, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced dermatology practice. You will escort patients, document histories, assist with biopsies and cosmetic procedures, collect specimens, and help maintain exam rooms and lab equipment.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of medical office experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and certification is preferred but not required; dermatology experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Dermatology and cosmetic experience preferred.
• Quality written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Strong phone etiquette and teamwork.
• Able to prioritize tasks and follow provider instructions.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room and prepare them for the examination.
• Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
• Assist the Physician/Provider in the room and scribe notes in the medical record.
• Assist with biopsies, excisions, sutures, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-ups.
