Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced dermatology clinics. You will escort patients, record histories, assist providers, prepare specimens, and help maintain clean exam rooms.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of medical office experience, strong communication, compassion for patients, and proficiency with electronic medical records. Dermatology experience is a plus; high professional standards are expected.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Prior Dermatology and cosmetic experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic.
• Experience working with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing the patient for their examination.
• Enter complete medical histories along with current medications into the chart.
• Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing notes in the medical record.
• Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, sutures, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-ups.
• Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, and stocking rooms.
• Laboratory maintenance including cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Other duties as assigned to the back office.
