Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners in California is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support our fast-paced dermatology clinic. You will escort patients, document medical histories, and assist providers during exams and cosmetic procedures.

You will prepare specimens, manage follow-up scheduling, maintain exam rooms, and support back-office duties. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in a medical office, experience in dermatology or cosmetic care, and strong communication to deliver exceptional

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and CMA preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Dermatology and cosmetic experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room and prepare for examinations.
• Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
• Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing notes in the medical record.
• Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.
• Laboratory maintenance including cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Other duties as assigned to the back office.
