Platinum Dermatology Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical staff across dermatology services, including general, cosmetic, and cancer screening treatments.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of medical office experience, dermatology exposure preferred, and strong communication and organizational skills. The role requires high school diploma and Medical Assistant training; on-site work in California. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must have 2-3 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Prior Dermatology and cosmetic experience is preferred.
• Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong phone etiquette.
• Teamwork.
• Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
• Able to prioritize tasks and follow provider instructions.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room and prepare them for examination.
• Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
• Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing notes in the medical record.
• Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, sutures, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens and notify patients of results.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and maintain exam rooms.
• Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms and stocking supplies.
• Laboratory maintenance including cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Perform other back-office duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Medical Assistant training is required

Certified Medical Assistant preferred
