Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to support fast-paced dermatology clinics. You will escort patients, collect histories, and assist physicians with exams and procedures, including biopsies and sutures. Experience with electronic medical records and strong communication are key.

High school diploma required; medical assistant training required. 2–3 years in a medical office is preferred; dermatology experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.
• Medical Assistant training is required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing the patient for their examination.
• Enter complete medical histories along with patients' current medications into the chart.
• Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing the notes in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow up appointments.
• Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.
• Laboratory maintenance that includes cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Other duties as assigned to the back office.
