Job summary

Anne Arundel Dermatology is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist for our Tampa, FL clinic. You will be the first point of contact, greeting patients, scheduling and registering appointments, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate patient information.

Responsibilities include screening calls, coordinating referrals, updating charts, and supporting the front office with processing and communication to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of customer-facing experience required.
• 1–3 years as Medical Receptionist in a clinical or surgical setting preferred.
• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Screen calls, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals.
• Take accurate and concise phone messages.
• Enter complete patient demographics when scheduling appointments.
• Review patient charts for required information and signatures.
• Check patients in and out.
• Monitor reception area and communicate with patients as needed.
• Collect patient payments.
• Update product inventory and fulfill inventory orders.
• Run end-of-day reports and balance payment totals when closing.
• Distribute reports to patient charts and ensure timely communication.
