Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our patient-facing team. You will answer multi-line phones, greet patients and vendors, sign in and out patients, verify insurance information, and collect data as needed to support smooth visits.

Schedule appointments, collect balances and copays, liaise with management and physicians, and help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming front-desk environment with a commitment to top-notch patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Prior experience with medical terminology is a plus.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Answering multi-line phones
• Greeting patients and vendors
• Signing patients in and out, obtaining insurance information and any other necessary data
• Scheduling appointments on the phone and at checkout desks
• Collecting outstanding balances and copays
• Providing patients with support and guidance as needed
• Maintaining safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.
