Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments, including follow-up appointments, labs and testing, and surgical booking.
• Assists with scheduling template creation and changes.
• Answers phones, triages calls, and handles patient requests.
• Greets and checks-in patients and verifies demographics and insurance.
• Assists with revenue cycle clearance, including registration accuracy and insurance verification.
• Collects copayments and prepares medical records for visits.
• Monitors patient flow and communicates delays to patients and providers.
• Assists with billing charge entry and reconciliation.
• Performs general office tasks and calendar management.
• Provides clerical support to department physicians.
• Participates in performance improvement projects.
