Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a Dermatologist with Mohs Surgery expertise to spearhead a brand-new Dermatology & Mohs service line in Mattoon, Illinois. This physician-led opportunity offers complete clinical autonomy to design, develop, and grow a premier dermatology practice with strong system support.

You will lead clinical operations, drive protocols, and build a high-quality outpatient program serving Mattoon and surrounding communities, including complex cancer care and Mohs procedures.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited US medical school or international equivalent.
• Completed ACGME-accredited Dermatology residency; Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Fellowship in Mohs Surgery strongly preferred.
• Active Illinois medical license (or eligible for state licensure).
• Active DEA registration and Illinois Controlled Substance License (CSR).
• Demonstrated clinical leadership ability and vision for establishing a new service line.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational setup, clinical workflow design, and rollout of a brand-new Dermatology and Mohs Surgery service line.
• Provide outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and surgical management for skin cancers and complex dermatologic conditions.
• Perform Mohs surgeries and histopathologic interpretations as the program develops.
• Establish clinical protocols, acquire equipment, and guide clinic layout design.
• Build a referral network with regional physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Maintain a patient-centered care environment with high quality and safety standards.
