Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Mattoon, Illinois seeks a Dermatologist to spearhead the creation of a new Dermatology & Mohs service line. You will design clinical workflows, lead surgical management of skin cancers, and drive a high-quality, patient-centered practice with strong system support.

The role offers autonomy to establish protocols, obtain equipment, and build a regional referral network while ensuring safety and excellence in care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited US medical school or international equivalent (MD or DO).
• ACGME-accredited Dermatology residency completed; Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Fellowship training or proficiency in Mohs Surgery is strongly preferred.
• Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license or eligibility for licensure; DEA and CSR.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational setup, workflow design, and rollout of a new Dermatology & Mohs service line.
• Provide outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and surgical management for skin cancers and dermatologic conditions.
• Perform Mohs micrographic surgeries and reconstructive procedures as capabilities are established.
• Establish clinical protocols, procure equipment, and guide clinic layout.
• Develop a referral network with regional PCPs, surgeons, and oncologists.
• Maintain patient-centered care with high clinical quality and safety standards.
