Job summary

Veolia is hiring a Deputy Site Leader in Bastrop, LA. You will assist the Site Leader in daily operations, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and step in as acting Site Leader when needed. Focus on teamwork, compliance, and customer relations while mentoring staff.

You will support budgeting, cost control, and operational improvements across a site typically managing under 1 MGD facilities, with numerous responsibilities toward safety and performance.

Qualifications

• 3 years of leadership experience, with a focus on assisting leadership and operational success.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with staff and stakeholders.
• Ability to oversee safety, compliance, and contract execution at the site.

Responsibilities

• Foster teamwork and ensure clear communication across the site.
• Support Site Leader in managing performance and coaching team members.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders, including potential escalation handling.
• Promote safety-first culture and conduct regular safety checks.
• Mentor junior staff and prepare for future leadership roles.
• Monitor project delivery, ensure quality and operational reliability.
• Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
