Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Deputy Site Leader to assist the Site Leader in managing daily operations at a water and wastewater facility in Connecticut. The role focuses on safety, quality, and efficient performance, with an emphasis on teamwork and effective communication across the site.

The candidate will support safety programs, oversee contract execution, and help drive site improvements while mentoring staff and maintaining strong customer relations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Connecticut Class III or Class IV Wastewater Operator Certification is required.
• Degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Foster teamwork and ensure clear communication across the site.
• Support the Site Leader in managing daily operations and coaching the team.
• Promote safety-first culture and conduct regular safety checks or audits.
• Oversee contract execution and ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Monitor project delivery, maintain quality, and resolve conflicting priorities.
• Develop staff by mentoring and preparing for future leadership roles.
• Build strong customer relationships and respond to inquiries promptly.
