Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Deputy Site Leader in Bastrop, LA to assist the Site Leader with daily operations, safety, and continuous improvement. This role emphasizes teamwork, customer relations, and cost control within a regulated environment.

The successful candidate will mentor staff, ensure high standards of quality and efficiency, and serve as a backup leader to maintain uninterrupted site operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management strongly preferred.
• 3 years of leadership experience (2 in supervisory/lead role).
• Class 2 Wastewater license required.

Responsibilities

• Foster teamwork and ensure clear communication across team members.
• Assist Site Leader in managing performance and coaching.
• Support client communications and may step into client-facing roles when needed.
• Promote safety culture and conduct regular safety checks/audits.
• Mentor junior staff and develop leadership skills.
• Grow into future leadership with focus on operations and leadership development.
• Supervise typically less than 10 FTEs.
