Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Deputy Site Leader to assist the Site Leader in daily operations at our Illinois site. You will help ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while relaying site goals, procedures, and updates to the team.

You will promote a safety-first culture, oversee contract execution, monitor project delivery, mentor staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive reliability and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred but not required.
• Operational leadership experience; 3 years with supervisory exposure.
• Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Foster teamwork and ensure clear communication across all team members.
• Support Site Leader in managing performance and coaching.
• Liaise with Site Leader, staff and external stakeholders as needed.
• Promote safety-first culture; conduct safety checks and training.
• Mentor junior staff and prepare for future leadership roles.
• Drive cost effectiveness and operational reliability at the site.
