Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Deputy Site Leader to assist the Site Leader in daily operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across the site. You will help communicate goals, coordinate resources, and lead in the Site Leader's absence.

You will foster a safety‑driven culture, manage performance, and mentor staff while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reliable, compliant operations at the site in Illinois.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Degree in Business, Engineering, PM, or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience, including supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Leader in managing team performance and safety checks.
• Foster teamwork and clear communication across the site.
• Liaise with Site Leader and external stakeholders as needed.
• Promote a safety‑first culture with regular training and audits.
• Lead site operations in the absence of the Site Leader to ensure continuity.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and process improvements.
• Build strong customer relationships and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff to build leadership capacity.
