Job summary

GP Strategies Government Solutions is seeking a Deputy Emergency Preparedness Training Project Manager to support a large-scale program serving first responders and emergency management professionals nationwide.

The role reports to the Emergency Preparedness Training Program Manager and involves overseeing daily operations, workforce management, training delivery support, customer engagement, and contract performance in a fast-paced environment specializing in classroom instruction, hands-on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of four years managing program operations.
• Experience supporting large operational programs or mission-critical initiatives.
• Experience supervising personnel and coordinating multi-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required government security/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Program Manager in overall administration and execution of program operations.
• Assist with oversight of personnel, resources, schedules, and operational activities.
• Coordinate with instructors and support personnel to ensure successful program execution.
• Serve as alternate point of contact for government representatives and stakeholders.
• Monitor program performance and support achievement of goals.
• Staffing coordination and workforce planning support.
• Support development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, safety standards, and policies.
• Support preparedness training focused on Incident Management, Mass Casualty, Natural Disasters, CBRNE, and Terrorism preparedness.
• Assist in coordinating large-scale exercises, simulations, and training activities.
• Prepare reports and program documentation for leadership review.
• Act on behalf of Training Program Manager during absences.
