Job summary

The City of New York Department of Transportation seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to serve as Deputy Director of Transit Analysis within the Traffic Engineering & Planning unit. You will lead review and preparation of traffic and pedestrian analyses to inform TPM projects, supervise data collection and model calibration, and guide environmental assessments.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, manage staff, and coordinate with other agencies.

Qualifications

• Four years of full-time civil engineering experience.
• New York State Professional Engineer license required.
• CEQR/NEPA experience and traffic impact studies are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead review and preparation of traffic and pedestrian analyses for TPM projects.
• Supervise collection, review, and analysis of transportation data.
• Oversee Synchro/SimTraffic model calibration to field conditions.
• Prepare written reports and presentations for stakeholders.
