Job summary
New York City Department of Transportation's Division of Transportation Planning & Management (TPM) seeks a Deputy Director of Transit Analysis to lead complex transportation planning, safety, and engineering projects in the Transit Development unit.
You will manage TEP staff, oversee traffic and pedestrian analyses, calibrate Synchro/SimTraffic models, review environmental studies, and prepare reports for capital projects, with a focus on improving bus transit reliability and safety across NYC
Qualifications
- Four (4) years of full-time civil engineering experience.
- Valid New York State Professional Engineer license; current registration must be maintained.
- A master's degree in civil engineering may substitute for one year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead review and/or preparation of traffic and pedestrian analyses.
- Supervise data collection, review, and analysis for transportation studies.
- Oversee calibration and validation of Synchro/SimTraffic models to field conditions.
- Assist in CEQR/NEPA environmental analyses and prepare technical reports.
- Coordinate with capital reconstruction projects and prepare related documentation.
