Job summary

City of New York’s Division of Transportation Planning & Management seeks an experienced Deputy Director of Transit Analysis to lead complex transportation planning, safety, and engineering projects. You will manage TEP staff, oversee traffic and pedestrian analyses, and calibrate Synchro/SimTraffic models to field conditions.

The role emphasizes collaboration on CEQR/NEPA reviews, environmental studies, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Four years of full-time civil engineering experience and a valid NYS Professional Engineer license.
Masters degree may substitute for one year of experience.
Experience with CEQR/NEPA processes and transportation impact studies is preferred.
Strong writing and oral presentation skills required.

Responsibilities

Lead review and preparation of traffic and pedestrian analyses for TPM Transit Development projects.
Supervise data collection, review and analysis; oversee Synchro/SimTraffic models and calibration.
Prepare reports and graphics for presentations; participate in technical/advisory meetings.
Assist in CEQR/NEPA environmental review processes and safety studies.
Support field work as needed and coordinate with agency staff.
