The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is hiring an Environmental Engineer, Stormwater Permitting, Deputy Director, to supervise field and office civil engineering tasks including design reviews, inspections, and program enforcement in MS4. Leadership and technical oversight are expected in this senior role.

Qualified candidates hold a NYS Professional Engineer license with four years of environmental engineering experience; a master's degree can substitute for one year.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Professional Engineer license required.
• Four years of full-time environmental engineering experience.
• Master's degree accepted as equivalent to one year experience.
• Ability to review stormwater pollution prevention plans.
• Strong communication and drawing interpretation skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform calculations and oversee field inspections.
• Review stormwater pollution prevention plans for conformance.
• Coordinate and supervise field staff and project managers.
• Inspect sites and ensure compliance with MS4 permits and regulations.
• Review maps, drawings, and specifications for stormwater projects.
