Job summary

The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking a Civil Engineer 3 to serve as permit Closeout and Inspection Supervisor for the Stormwater Construction and Maintenance Permitting Unit at DEP headquarters in Queens, NY. The role requires supervision of SWPPP closeouts, Maintenance Permits, and field inspections for active construction sites.

Minimum qualifications include four years of civil engineering experience and a New York State Professional Engineer license.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of full-time, satisfactory civil engineering experience.
• Active New York State Professional Engineer license and ongoing maintenance.
• Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SWPPP closeouts and maintenance permit issuance.
• Supervise inspection staff for stormwater management enforcement.
• Review stormwater pollution prevention plans and field inspections.
