Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Deputy Design Manager to support delivery of complex transportation projects across the East Region. You will collaborate with experienced leaders and technical experts while building leadership skills on major programs.

In this role, you will work with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality transportation solutions from pursuit through project completion, with opportunities for growth into a Design Manager role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience delivering transportation infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with design-build or alternative delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop client relationships and assist with pursuits, qualifications packages, interviews, and business development activities.
• Partner with project leadership and serve as a client contact to help ensure objectives are met.
• Support the delivery of large transportation projects using design-build and other delivery methods.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Assist in leading the development of designs, technical documentation, and project deliverables.
• Help manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and delivery milestones.
• Support proposal development, project planning, fee estimates, and resource coordination.
• Provide construction-phase support, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and shop drawing reviews.
