Job summary

Jacobs, a leading global engineering firm, is seeking a Deputy Design Manager to support the delivery of complex transportation projects in the East Region. You will work with project leaders and technical experts to advance designs, manage teams, and drive successful outcomes from pursuit through delivery.

The role focuses on leading design development, coordinating with clients and contractors, and fostering a collaborative environment that accelerates project milestones while upholding

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering or related field required.
• PE license required; DBIA certification or interest in pursuing certification preferred.
• Experience delivering transportation infrastructure projects and managing projects/programs.
• Proven ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and ability to support pursuits across the East Region.

Responsibilities

• Support development of client relationships and pursuits; assist with qualifications, interviews and BD activities.
• Serve as client contact on assigned projects to ensure objectives and expectations are met.
• Lead delivery of large transportation projects using design-build and alternative methods.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Assist in leading design development, technical documentation, and project deliverables.
