Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Deputy Design Manager to support complex transportation projects across the East Region, advancing design-build delivery and other methods. You will collaborate with experienced leaders and technical experts while building leadership skills on large-scale programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Experience delivering transportation infrastructure projects including project or program management.
• Experience coordinating with clients, contractors, consultants and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support development of client relationships and pursuits, qualifications packages, interviews, and business development.
• Serve as client contact on assigned projects to ensure objectives and expectations are met.
• Lead delivery of large transportation projects using design-build and other delivery methods.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders throughout project development and delivery.
• Assist in leading design development, technical documentation and project deliverables.
• Help manage scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and milestones.
• Support proposal development, project planning, and resource coordination.
• Provide construction-phase support including RFIs, submittals, and site visits.
• Contribute to Jacobs' quality standards and project requirements.
• Foster inclusive team environment and develop early career professionals.
• Assist with recruiting and growth of Jacobs' transportation practice in the East Region.
