Job summary

Exec Office of Technology Services and Security is seeking a senior IT leader to manage and modernize the Commonwealth's network and security services from the Massachusetts IT Center in Chelsea. The role focuses on reliability, security, and strategic planning for WAN/LAN, unified communications, cyber security, and disaster recovery.

The DCOO role requires over a decade of leadership in IT, strong governance, and the ability to balance technical excellence with organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT management/leadership experience in IT administration or IT management.
• Experience leading enterprise network and security systems teams in hybrid/cloud environments.
• Strong project management, budgeting, vendor and contract oversight capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for network, communications and security information systems across the enterprise.
• Lead and manage IT professionals responsible for network and security operations.
• Develop strategic plans for network and security infrastructure aligned with organizational goals.
• Design and maintain robust network architecture and security posture.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise policies and industry regulations; manage security incidents and recovery efforts.
• Oversee budgets, vendor relations, SLAs and modernization initiatives.
