Alerus Financial in Minnetonka, MN is seeking a Deposits Operations Servicing Lead to guide the day-to-day work of the Deposits Operations Specialists, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client experience. You will train staff, manage time-sensitive requests, collaborate with Sales and IT on systems, and serve as SME for deposit policies and procedures.

Bachelor’s degree and 7–10 years in Deposit Operations are required; $65,000–$75,000 base plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience in the financial industry.
• 7-10 years of experience in a Deposit Operations role.
• Strong knowledge of deposits, bank operations, products, services, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage high volume, time sensitive work while staying organized.
• Strong leadership and decision making skills.
• High attention to accuracy and detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Deposit Operations Specialists team.
• Ensure client accounts are accurately established and maintained; manage check files within established SLAs.
• Research and resolve time-sensitive or complex requests with guidance to the team.
• Use reporting to identify improvements, monitor performance, and set expectations.
• Collaborate on projects with internal partners to develop or test systems or processes.
• Serve as SME on documentation, systems, policies, and regulatory compliance for deposit operations.
• Oversee day-to-day management of team members and ongoing training.
