Job summary

Scale Bank is seeking a collaborative, hands-on manager to lead the back-office deposits and payments operations team in Edina, MN. You will oversee daily processing, drive efficiency, and ensure accurate, compliant operations while partnering with other departments on product launches and system enhancements.

The ideal candidate has experience with banking operations, regulatory knowledge, and a track record of reducing risk and improving processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven leadership with track record of results.
• Knowledge of banking products and regulations (ACH/NACHA, Fedwire).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; engaging diverse audiences.
• Process improvement mindset and continuous improvement.
• Strong project management and resource planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in daily operations of the deposits, business services, and mortgage warehouse operations.
• Support and engage employees to address problems and remove roadblocks impacting client experience and productivity.
• Ensure positive customer experience.
• Understand product and processes; seek improvements to support efficient processing.
• Review work processes and guide changes leveraging technology for efficiency.
• Maintain and update process and procedure manuals.
• Lead continuous improvement culture and serve as a role model.
• Conduct regular quality checks to identify and mitigate risks.
• Provide training and resources to ensure procedures adhere to policy; collaborate with departments to mitigate risk.
