Job summary

North Star Bank is seeking an experienced AVP Deposit Operations in White Bear Lake, MN to lead and optimize the bank's deposit operations with a focus on risk management and accuracy across ACH, wires, checks, and digital channels.

You will partner with the VP Operations on technology implementations and drive process improvements, training, and documentation while ensuring regulatory compliance and exceptional customer service. This onsite role requires a strong banking operations background.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in bank operations with progressive responsibility.
• Experience with ACH, wires, checks, EIM, debit cards, digital payment channels.
• Core banking system experience; Fiserv Premier beneficial.
• Experience with Reg E disputes and fraud cases.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) and National Check Professional (NCP) certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deposit operations with risk management focus.
• Collaborate with VP Operations on Fiserv implementations and initiatives.
• Develop and implement procedures for ACH and check processing and fraud claims.
• Lead and coach team; coordinate department tasks and projects.
• Maintain documentation and audit readiness; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review improvements to increase efficiency, controls, and customer experience.
