Alerus is seeking a Deposit Operations Servicing Lead in Grand Forks, ND to guide and develop the Deposit Operations Specialists team. You will balance client focus with regulatory compliance, ensuring accurate account setup, check file handling, and timely responses to complex requests.

The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with Sales and IT to enhance systems and processes, while training staff and escalating issues as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in a Deposit Operations role.
• Strong knowledge of deposits, bank operations, products, services, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive work with strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and oversee day-to-day activities of the Deposit Operations Specialists team.
• Ensure regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional client experience.
• Use reporting to identify improvements, monitor performance, and set expectations.
• Collaborate with Sales and IT on new systems and testing.
• Mentor, training, testing, and escalation for complex transactions.
• Oversee daily management and escalation decisions.
