Deployment Engineer — Utility Partnerships & Scale

Job summary

Base is seeking a Deployment Engineer to define deployment parameters and stand up operations for utility partnerships. You will act as the technical point of contact for partners, drive data-collection for process improvements, and ensure smooth interconnection, scheduling, and PTO workflows.

You will collaborate across teams to scale partnerships, own pipeline health, and coordinate field handoffs while maintaining rigorous data integrity in the CRM.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in operations, program management, or partnerships roles with multi-disciplinary collaboration.
• Experience in energy, utilities, construction, or field services operations preferred.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electromechanical systems.
• Track record of building relationships with external partners and clearing bottlenecks.
• Experience developing processes for field work or manufacturing.
• Experience with utility interconnection agreements or regulated energy markets a plus.
• Comfort owning a CRM as the system of record with clean data in/out.
• Strong written and verbal communication; organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Define deployment operations parameters and stand up deployment operations for new utilities.
• Serve as primary technical contact for utility partners during deployment and PTO processes.
• Build data-collection systems to drive continuous process improvements.
• Troubleshoot operational problems to minimize disruption and keep schedules.
• Develop foundations, automation, and systems to scale partnerships.
• Collaborate with pipeline, marketing, and business operations teams to support deployments.
• Own daily pipeline health, manage aging deals, and maintain CRM records for deployment flow.
• Coordinate handoffs between field teams and partners to meet install quotas.
