Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Training Manager to develop Product Sales Specialists and ensure customers receive exceptional service and accurate product information at our Bakersfield store. You will lead training programs, certify staff, and reinforce the company’s core retail principles.

The role requires strong communication, a year of customer service or sales experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to all product sales specialists to ensure a highly attentive and accurate level of customer service
• Complete all product specialist certification courses
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of merchandise and installation
• Ensure the overall merchandising, pricing and organization of the department
• Greet every customer in a helpful and courteous manner and assist with questions/selections
• Process customers at check-out using the POS system and handle refunds/exchanges
• Stock and tag merchandise displays and create price tags/signs
• Communicate SOP direction and changes to associates in a timely manner
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification
• Communicate inventory needs to management
