POSITION DETAILS:
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
- Monday- Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm.
- Location: Naperville, IL - 100 Spalding Drive.

The Department Coordinator is the liaison between physicians and other staff members in the absence of the manager. The Coordinator works with the Manager to assure smooth operations at each of the office sites by providing excellent patient relations, exercises independent judgment in resolution of administrative and clinical problems.
Responsibilities- Interacts with patients, patients’ families, physicians and other third party carriers with regard to patient-related issues.
- Coordinates scheduling of physicians and department staff while ensuring that the office is appropriately and efficiently staffed.
- Maintains a highly visible profile in the work areas. Works as a team member as necessary. Functions as an alternate clinical/clerical resource and coordinator for the practice in the absence of the Practice Manager.
- Responds to patient complaints and works to resolve; appropriately involves the Practice Manager if resolution cannot be reached.
- Promotes positive customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
- Ensures office supply inventory is current, mail is opened and processed, office is open and properly directed.
- Works with Manager to ensure efforts are coordinated and high quality patient care is provided.
- Prepares reports and maintains databases.
- Works towards developing efficiencies; provides constructive feedback/solutions to processes and works towards improvements.
- Provides and coordinates necessary training and education for staff.
- Maintains a safe working environment, adhering to Company and OSHA policies.
- Performs all other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
QualificationsEDUCATION:
- High School diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
- Courses in medical terminology and health care office management preferred.
- CPR certification
EXPERIENCE:
- Two years of administrative or office management experience including one year of medical office experience
The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $19-28.00 per hour, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
