Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a dental treatment coordinator to educate patients on treatment options, verify insurances, and manage referrals across multiple specialties. The role requires engaging patients, processing payments, and coordinating with referring offices to ensure smooth scheduling and treatment progress.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of treatment coordination experience, knowledge of insurances, and familiarity with Open Dental or Dentrix.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of previous dental treatment coordinator experience is required.
• Must have knowledge of all dental insurances
• Dental practice management software experience helpful
• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on the type and extent of treatment needed.
• Convert planned treatment to scheduled treatment in multi-specialty offices.
• Communicate with referring offices through letters and emails detailing treatment plans and updates.
• Verify all insurances.
• Submit pre-authorizations
• Process payments (Cash, Credit & Care Credit)
• Audit chart notes and create claims
• Run end-of-day reports
• Assist with opening/closing the office
• Daily housekeeping and other duties as assigned
