Job summary

Smile Doctors is seeking a Records Coordinator to join our growing orthodontic team. You will welcome new patients, obtain records, and help manage an efficient patient flow in a clinical setting.

You’ll capture X-rays and scans, relay information to clinicians, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role may involve cross-training to support multiple clinic duties, with opportunities to grow within our people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with patients and coworkers.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes new patients and obtains orthodontic records.
• Maintains on-time patient workflow and scheduling.
• Directs patients to the next available appointment.
• Captures X-rays, photographs and scans.
• Relays patient information to treatment coordinators and doctors.
• Coordinates clinical records requests and file management.
• Ensures compliance with State, Federal and other regulations.
• Performs aftercare communication with patients.
• May assist with cleaning, sterilizing, and preparing equipment.
• Supports multiple roles within the clinic as needed.
