Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory/management experience in a dental or related field.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and dental office procedures.
• Knowledge of insurance plans and claims processing.
• Proven leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster a strong working relationship among staff and assist the Practice Manager with concerns.
• Collaborate on recruitment, onboarding, training, staff development, retention, and performance management.
• Ensure key performance metrics, budget accuracy, production targets and financial audits.
• Respond efficiently to patient and doctor needs and inquiries.
• Ensure delivery of quality dental care and a customer-ready practice.
• Monitor scheduling to effectively staff the office.
• Assist with HR and payroll paperwork, including new hires and terminations.
• Lead regular staff meetings and daily huddles; improve communication and organization.
• Resolve patient issues per company policies and procedures.
• Support marketing and practice promotion activities.
• Serve as on-site HIPAA contact person.
• Take opportunities to learn from the Practice Manager and perform related tasks.
• Participate in professional development and networking activities.
