Job summary

Boulevard Dentistry, an office within Archway Dental Partners, seeks a full-time Dental Hygienist to deliver high-quality hygiene care in a relaxed environment. Recent grads welcomed and a strong team ethic is valued.

Candidate must have an Associate's degree in dental hygiene and a CT RDH license, with ability to work at West Hartford and Avon locations. Shifts include Mon/Tue 8am-5pm and Thu 8am-5pm, Fri 9am-3pm.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Valid license to practice in Connecticut (RDH).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to commute to West Hartford and Avon locations.
• Available to work the specified shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services: prophylaxis, scaling/root planning, fluoride/sealants.
• Perform oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessment.
• Select materials/equipment based on patient needs.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
• Document hygiene services in patient charts; record vital signs and histories.
• Sterilize equipment.
• Take x-rays as recommended by ADA.

We employ dentists in the specialties of general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and prosthodontics. Currently, we are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed!

Specific Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
• Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient's oral health
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
• Sterilization of equipment
• Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA
