Job summary

All Smiles of Connecticut, part of Archway Dental Partners, is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our caring team. You will perform hygiene services, monitor periodontal health, and educate patients on oral care in a welcoming, patient-centered practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, fluoride and sealants.
• Detect disease by performing oral cancer screenings and examining gums.
• Record vital signs and histories in patient charts; document hygiene services.
• Sterilize equipment and take x-rays as needed per ADA guidelines.

Currently, we are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed!

Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
• Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral health
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
• Sterilization of equipment
• Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

• Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
