Job summary

Boulevard Dentistry, part of Archway Dental Partners in Connecticut, is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our two-office practice in West Hartford and Avon. A compassionate team player with a CT RDH license and an associate’s degree is required.

You will perform prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, fluoride applications, and x-rays, while educating patients and documenting histories. Dentrix Ascend experience is preferred, and a reliable work ethic with excellent communication is

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Valid Connecticut RDH license.
• Able to commute to West Hartford and Avon offices.
• Available to work with split shifts across two offices.
• Strong communication and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, fluoride and sealants.
• Detect disease through oral cancer screening and periodontal assessment.
• Select materials and equipment based on patient’s oral health.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative instructions.
• Document vital signs, histories, and chart treatments.
• Sterilize equipment.
• Take x-rays as needed per ADA recommendations.

Currently, we are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed!

Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
• Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral health
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
• Sterilization of equipment
• Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

• Friday - 9am - 3pm (Avon)
