Job summary

All Smiles of Connecticut, an office within Archway Dental Partners, is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist in Windsor Locks, CT. The successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering quality care in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include prophylaxis, scaling/root planing, fluoride and sealants, cancer screenings, patient education, and charting. CT RDH license and ability to work daytime shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services: prophylaxis, scaling/root planing, fluoride and sealants.
• Detect disease via oral cancer screening; examine gums and recession.
• Select materials and equipment for hygiene visit based on oral health.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
• Document hygiene services: vital signs, histories, charting.
• Sterilize equipment.
• Take x-rays as recommended by the ADA.

Currently, we are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed!

Specific Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
• Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral health
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
• Sterilization of equipment
• Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
• Available to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined:

• Tuesday - 8AM - 5PM
• Wednesday - 9AM - 6PM
• Thursday - 9AM - 6PM

Preferred Qualities

Salary Description

$45-52/hour
