Job summary

All Smiles of Connecticut, an office within Archway Dental Partners, is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our team. The role includes performing dental hygiene procedures, patient education, and maintaining proper charting in a welcoming, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in dental hygiene, a Connecticut RDH license, strong communication skills, and availability for weekday shifts (Mon–Thu). Recent grads are welcome.

Qualifications

• Connecticut RDH license required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease via screening and chart periodontal status
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Document hygiene services and patient histories in charts
• Sterilize equipment and take x-rays as needed per ADA guidelines

Currently, we are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed!

Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
• Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient's oral health
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
• Sterilization of equipment
• Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

Requirements

• Possess a professional and positive attitude
• Associate's degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
• Available to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined:

Available to work the following hours:

• Monday - 8AM - 5PM
• Tuesday - 8AM - 5PM
• Wednesday - 9AM - 6PM
• Thursday - 9AM - 6PM
