Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Completion of Dental Assisting school or minimum three months experience in a dental office.
• Dental Assistant permit within 30 days of employment; Coronal Polish Certificate and Radiation Certificate within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Hygienist during dental procedures and set up equipment.
• Prepare patient, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and record treatment information.
• Expose dental diagnostic x-rays and care for x-ray sensors.
• Provide postoperative instructions and place fluoride/sealants as prescribed.
• Schedule appointments and maintain hygiene schedule; communicate with patients.
