Job summary

Dental Depot of 83rd & Union Hills PLLC in Peoria, AZ is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support the dentist in all aspects of patient care. The role involves preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, taking and recording patient histories, and assisting with procedures from start to finish.

The candidate should have completed a dental assisting program or have at least one year of experience, with current CPR and X-ray certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of Dental Assisting Program or minimum one year experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Current Dental Assisting Permit Required.
• Current CPR Certification Required.
• X-Ray Certification required to serve chairside.
• Knowledge of CDT codes and infection control standards.
• HIPAA and OSHA compliance understanding.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient, sterilize instruments, and set up trays for procedures.
• Record treatment notes and radiographs (x-rays) in patient chart.
• Assist Dentist during procedures and manage emergencies.
• Instruct patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain inventory, sterilization processes, and safety protocols.
