Job summary

Dental Depot of Mustang PLLC seeks a full-time Hygiene Assistant to support the hygienist by preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, and recording treatment data. You will expose dental x-rays, take medical and dental histories, and assist in emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities include post-operative instructions, fluoride applications, and scheduling follow-ups. Requires dental assisting training or experience, and valid certifications within stated timeframes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of dental assisting school or 3+ months dental office experience preferred.
• Able to obtain Dental Assistant permit within 30 days; Coronal Polish and Radiation certificates within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and set up instruments for hygiene procedures.
• Sterilize/disinfect instruments and assist dentist/hygienist.
• Record treatment notes and x-rays; manage patient histories and vitals.
• Provide post-operative instructions and patient education on oral hygiene.
