Dental Depot of Independence PLLC in Independence, MO is seeking a Dental Hygiene Assistant to support the hygienist during procedures, prepare patients, and maintain records. You will expose dental radiographs, polish surfaces, and help with patient education and post-operative instructions.

The role requires a Dental Assisting program completion or 3+ months in a dental office, plus relevant certifications within set timelines; Eaglesoft and MS Office knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of Dental Assisting school or minimum three months experience.
• Dental Assistant permit within 30 days of employment required.
• Coronal Polish Certificate and Radiation Certificate within six months of employment.
• Knowledge of Eaglesoft and MS Office is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patient, sterilize or disinfect instruments, set up trays and assist dentist/hygienist.
• Record treatment information in patient records.
• Expose dental diagnostic x-rays and maintain x-ray sensor care.
• Coronal polish all surfaces; assist hygiene visits as needed.
• Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Assist Hygienist in medical/dental emergencies and provide postop instructions.
• Make post-operative calls and educate patients on oral hygiene.
• Manage supplies and schedule appointments; follow up on missed visits.
• Relocate to other clinics if needed; comply with policies and HIPAA.
• Perform other admin/maintenance tasks as assigned.
